I have been working on this print all week. I had a lot of set-backs, but I think it managed to turn out all right.
And something is up with this ink, I don’t know, I really put a lot of it on the block and it didn’t come off well. It happened with the vegetable print, so I don’t know. More ink, I guess. But I don’t want it to get all globby. I tried spraying the back of the paper, but if you do that too much it will also get globby. Bleh. Maybe I will add stuff to the ink next time.
Anyway, the print:

I xeroxed a page of a magazine, drew on it, xeroxed it again, xerox-transfered it to a piece of paper, colored chalk onto the back of that paper, rubbed the image onto the linoleum, re-drew the image, and then carved it. This took a week because I kept messing it up. And, for future reference, linoleum does not accept xerox ink (I tried to xerox transfer directly onto the block).
It’s 8×10″, which is probably the largest linoleum print I’ve ever done. I did buy an even bigger block, but I don’t know if/when I will get to use it. This was exhausting.
Now I need to start working on prints for my Bubble Exchange, which is completely full
