Jaska makes this horrible face that he calls “Wentworth.” He can make this face with alarming speed. At a party a little bit ago, someone surprised him by calling out his name to take a quick random picture. Without any of us seeing it, he managed to make that horrible face fast enough to show up in the picture.

So apparently, after being grossed out by this face for a long time, my boyfriend has decided it would be a great idea to learn how to make this face. He is still working on it, as you can tell…

I also practice making faces in my spare time. It’s a tradition in my family. My dad makes this weird monkey face, my cousin can stretch the skin under his chin really far to make this weird face, and I have my own works in progress. I even made a set of prints around the weird faces that I make. I only have the test prints scanned, but I’ll show you:

I only make faces in pictures that people take of me.  They take these pictures of me making weird faces and think that it’s some kind of blackmail, but they don’t realize that I generally do not like to smile for pictures.  I think it’s a self-esteem thing.
